The aim of this work is the preparation and characterization of molybdenum (V) oxide films, obtained by sol-gel process. The sols used for films deposition were prepared from the mixture of molybdenum (V) isopropoxide, isopropyl alcohol (C3H8O) and glacial acetic acid as a catalyst, by magnetic stirring. The obtaining of the thin layers of MoO3, with different thickness (9 layers), on a glass substrate recovered with an electronic conductor layer (ITO – tin-doped indium oxide) was carried out by sol - gel process and spin coating technique. The films were subjected to a thermal treatment at 350°C for 30 minute in air atmosphere.
